Thanos Geramanis is the COO and a Partner at Blueground, a real estate tech company offering beautiful, thoughtfully furnished apartments for stays of a month to a year, or even longer in major cities around the world. Thanos is actively involved in expanding the company to new markets, upgrading its technological systems and optimizing the services provided.
He is also responsible for designing, implementing and overseeing business operations globally to drive extensive and sustainable growth. He is also overseeing the Athens operations, the city that Blueground launched its business 7 years ago. Prior to his current role, Thanos was the Country Manager of MasterCard Europe for Greece, Cyprus & Malta where he was responsible for planning and implementing the company’s strategy. He pioneered the implementation of new technologies and tools, such as contactless on Issuing and Acquiring, mobile payments and electronic wallet integrating multiple payment types.
Thanos also worked as a strategy consultant for McKinsey & Company for six years. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and an MBA from ALBA Graduate Business School.
